The Simple Climber ($8.50) – Acai, banana, strawberries blended together topped with crunchy walnuts, almond granola, apple and strawberry slices.

Chicken Curry Pattie aka Empanada ($3.00)

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Green Grotto Juice Bar and he was extremely nice and sweet. I asked him to make my acai bowl extra pretty so that I could take nice pictures of it and he did exactly that! I thought that was super sweet of him. He was charming and very down to earth, which I thought played an important part of representation of the product and vision he was selling. I really appreciated the service and kindness that vividly showed genuinely through him as we exchanged brief conversation while I enjoyed my food.

I have to say this Acai Bowl was one of THE BEST acai bowls I have had in DTLA. Personally I find it much better tasting than its competitors in the area. It is crisp and refreshing, also sweet but not too sweet and packed with flavor. I had and highly recommend “The Simple Climber”. I wouldn’t usually think an Acai Bowl would be enough but surprisingly it was really filling due to the walnuts and granola.

Also had the Chicken Curry Pattie which was complimentary from the owner. (Thank you very much!) The pattie was delicious. You can taste the cumin and spices in the curry base but it was not too pungent and very enjoyable. The pattie was nice and soft. It’s an item you won’t regret getting, promise.

One and only con about getting here is that it is downtown los angeles, so parking definitely sucks. I had to pay $8 to park right next to the building. But I think thats the cheapest parking lot on the block so if you can’t find parking, PARK THERE! The other lots in the area are around $9-$15.
