Portland Vacation Travel Diary | 2018

Exploring Portland, Oregon with Julia, Woody, Jon, and Phoebe.  The four of us went during Memorial Day weekend of May 2018.  Coming from Los Angeles, California we were immediately all taken aback with the fresh air flowing from the lush greenery that surrounded us. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and felt that it was more than enough time to do everything we had in mind. I’d suggest to rent a car to drive around Portland to see all it has to offer. Every destination seemed relatively close to one another and due to “little to no” traffic,…

Reel of January – JVERIE Styles!

Hey guys! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in so long… I have had so much to do. I have some missed post pictures so I’m just going to have to post a “reel of January – Jverie styles”! I spent most of my days in New York for the beginning of the New Year! It was my first time, so I was really excited! I attended the Fashion Convention FAME for De Philo Clothing and got to see so many beautiful styles from other companies during my trip. At the LAX Airport. They always say your airport fashion game should…

Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens

The Huntington’s botanical gardens cover 120 acres and showcase plants from around the world. It’s not just rose gardens or herb gardens — they’ve got full-on ecosystems: a Japanese garden, Chinese garden, jungle, desert, lily ponds, a subtropical garden. Spent the rest of our afternoon at Cafe Maji in Arcadia, California. The Passion Fruit Tea Lemonade is tangy and very complimenting after the sweetness from the Waffle Sundae (3 scoops of ice cream, cookies, fruity pebbles, chocolate sauce, whip cream, on top of a nice warm waffle).

Chicago – The Windy City

Chicago was such a pleasant place to visit. Did you know? Chicago is the third most populous city in the United States, after New York City and Los Angeles. It was awfully windy as soon as I arrived, but what more could I expect? My first stop after arriving was to go eat at the Rosebud Steak house. They served an assortment of breads and butter. I had a main dish of Filet Minion with lemon asparagus and mixed mushrooms. The John Hancock Observatory Tower A three story TOPSHOP, the cure to any shoppers addiction. The Kinzie Street Showroom! Our…

Mt Woodson Trail AKA Potato Chip Rock

My friends and I were up for a hike and I chose this one: the infamous photo on the “potato chip” rock. We drove up to San Diego early in the morning and arrived around 9 AM. Heed my warning! This trail is seriously no joke! Do not tread this route lightly, it will test your ability physically and mentally. And don’t forget to bring lots of water! The hike to potato chip rock is located in the city of Poway right near Poway Lake. The trail winds around the lake for about a mile before the actual trailhead starts. It’s…
