LA Fashion Week – SIWY DENIM “MONALISTARS” FALL 2018

Attended Los Angeles Fashion Week to watch SIWY Denim’s Fall 2018 fashion show. It took place at The MacArthur in the grand Ballroom. This seasons Fashion Week theme was about art so there were many beautiful art pieces that surrounded the hallways upon entering.  The SIWY Denim fashion show consisted of fall trends such as darker denim hues, black and white plaid, and metallics. My favorite pieces were the ones of bold pop color, which were rich hues of the primary three. Red, green, and yellow were statement pieces that caught my eye. Photos courtesy of @yeopphotography My LA Fashion Week…

Mr. Holmes Bakehouse Grand Opening in Larchmont Village

Mr. Holmes Bakehouse is a one of a kind bakery with a sweet selection of baked goods. While they have a couple locations open around in California, they finally opened up a new one in Larchmont Village! (248 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004) Had a great time trying out pastries such as Green Tea Matcha Croissants, Strawberry Jelly Jam Croissants, Savory Danish’s with Bacon, and so much more. What I liked most about their pastries was that they wasn’t too sweet even though they had a lot of other sweet ingredients (such as the matcha, jam, chocolate, etc.) that were integrated. The pastries were light and crispy and most importantly I could tell they were extremely fresh. Next time you’re in town, I recommend that you stop by Mr. Holmes for a box!

Street Snaps ft. @mijismuse || Shot by @deionkim

Los Angeles. It’s dirty and filled with lots of trash and graffiti. While some people might think LA is dirty, others see it as culture, tradition, and art. To me, Los Angeles is like a pearl. A pearl is made when a clam takes an irritant and over time it slowly becomes something of value.  When you see an run down old building with paint falling off and cracks, it creates a sense of time. Of all it has been through and seen, far before your own life has started. It creates a type of vibe and through these vibes we can…

Infamous Paul Smith Pink Wall

If you live in Los Angeles, then you know the infamous Paul Smith Pink Wall. It’s the famous wall of pink that everyone has to stop by to take a selfie. The location is on none other than Melrose Ave. Here’s the exact address for those of you wanting to visit. (Paul Smith – 8221 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046) Had amazing luck with the direction of the wind when I got here. Perfect for those “wind in your hair moment” photos. With summer coming I chose this black romper from MISSGUIDED to keep me cool from the heat. It featured a…

My Favorite Porridge Restaurant in Los Angeles

Mountain Cafe 3064 W. 8th St. Los Angeles, CA 90005 (213) 487-7615 (Abalone Porridge – $8.25) – Abalone and rice chowder.  I have to say this is the best porridge house in Korea town Los Angeles, hands down. For those days you can’t chew due to your new braces (i.e. like me they hurt so bad right now), or even if you are sick and can’t eat. The abalone porridge (전복죽) from Mountain Cafe (aka 산) has so much flavor especially when eaten together with seasoned jorim beef (장조림) & their signature kimchi (김치) 😍 The restaurant itself is very small and…

Los Angeles Flower District : Peonies

Stopped by the Los Angeles Original Flower District on 754 Wall Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014. As all of LA, you must find parking on the street. Afterwards it is a $2 general admission to get into the district. This entitles you to everywhere on the district for the whole day! It took me a while to find these drop dead gorgeous peonies since they are out of season, but hurrah! I have found them at last! The Los Angeles Original Flower District has such a beautiful and diverse selection of any type of floral or plant you might need. The flowers…

$1 oysters?! Um, YES!

EMC Seafood and Raw Bar in Korea Town, Los Angeles. Happy hour is 4-7pm daily, and they have $1 eastern oysters! We ordered a dozen oysters and then ordered a dozen more after they quickly disappeared. Their Uni Pasta was delectable, an even balance of flavors in a creamy fresh uni sauce.
